Full Plot

The Thunder Twins are out patrolling as part of Z-Force training while Cherry is at their house waiting for Phoebe. By the time the twins return (covered in seaweed), it's already too late for Cherry and Phoebe to hang out. Phoebe wishes that President Kickbutt approved her request to make Cherry her supe assistant so that they can hang out together even during Z-Force patrols. Max is also disappointed in Kickbutt because she refused to approve his request for a rocket shark. Max and Phoebe want to call President Kickbutt but Barb and Hank ask the twins not to bother Kickbutt with their frivolous requests.

However, when the parents walk out of the room, the twins proceed to call Kickbutt. The Thunder Monitor says that Kickbutt is not available and later confirms that she's blocking their calls. With no option left, Max and Phoebe ask Chloe to teleport to Kickbutt and bring her to their house. Chloe teleports Kickbutt from the middle of a speech into the Thundermans house. The twins use the opportunity to make all the requests they want which only aggravates Kickbutt more. She gets so mad at them that she decides to quit being the Super President. She appoints Hank as the next Super President of the Hero League. She then asks Chloe to teleport her away.

The Thundermans can't believe that Hank is now the Super President of the Hero League, making them the "first family". Barb becomes the first lady. The Hero League sends security detail as well as their Liaison to the Thundermans house. Phoebe and Max congratulate each other because now they can get whatever they want from their dad.

Hank and his family travel to Hero League's headquarters in Metroburg for him to be officially sworn in as the 251st Super President of the Hero League. Before the ceremony, however, Hank accidentally eats the cake that he is meant to cut a piece from as part of the official ceremony. When the Liaison discovers the cake missing, Hank lies about it and agrees to launch an investigation to find out who ate the cake.

Back at home, the kids are loving their new status as the first family. Phoebe and Max use their dad's approval stamp to order whatever they want for themselves. Phoebe makes Cherry her official supe assistant, and Max orders his expensive rocket shark. Nora and Billy are also having fun... until one of the guards sees Nora zapping Billy with her Laser Eyes as part of their "laser tag" game. The guard concludes that they have to protect Billy and Nora. Despite Billy's confirmation that he is okay with the game, the guards refuse to let them play together. Billy and Nora agree to use Billy's superspeed for Billy to frequently sneak quickly to play with Nora before anyone noticing. This works for a short time before Billy messes up and he's busted. The guards place electric necklaces on Nora and Billy so that the kids would get electric shocks whenever they got within ten feet of each other. This makes life miserable for Billy and Nora.

Meanwhile, things are not looking so good for Hank either. The responsibilities of being a Super President are too much and overwhelming for him to handle. He is also worried about the cake investigation. Luckily, the investigation closes, concluding that the cake must have been eaten by a wild animal. However, Hank starts getting texts from an anonymous source threatening to expose him as the cake thief if he doesn't agree to their terms. This is all too much for Hank to handle. So, he sneaks back home and hides in Max's Lair's slide.

Max and Phoebe feel guilty after seeing how Hank is struggling with his new role as Super President - in addition to what Nora and Billy are going through. They agree to convince Evelyn Kickbutt to come back and resume her role as the President of the Hero League. Unfortunately, the guards refuse to let them go to Kickbutt. They bring in a superhero called Pain Force to prevent them from going. Pain Force's powers are reflecting other superpowers. So, whenever the twins try to attack him with their powers, he reflects them, hurting them instead. The twins come up with a plan to use Billy and Nora's zapping necklaces to knock Pain Force out. So, they trick Pain Force into standing between Billy and Nora. As Billy gets closer to Nora, the necklaces activate, blasting Pain Force with an electric shock. Phoebe and Max sneak out to look for President Kickbutt.

They find Kickbutt at her new business, Kickbutt Travels in Metroburg. As part of the business, she helps travelers who don't have travel superpowers (like teleportation, flight, super speed) to travel to their destinations. She does so by kicking their butts really hard using her kick butt powers. The twins apologize to Kickbutt for being selfish and for causing her to quit. They persuade her to come back but she refuses to accept right away.

Back in Max's Lair, Hank continues to complain about the hardships of being a super-president to Dr. Colosso when he realizes that Dr. Colosso was the one blackmailing him. Dr. Colosso asks Hank to make him the Secretary of Fashion, or else he will expose him as the cake thief. Without a choice, Hank agrees to hold a press conference about Dr. Colosso.

During the press conference, Hank refuses to give into Dr. Colosso's demands and instead confesses that he is the one who ate the cake. Just about then, Evelyn Kickbutt arrives. She tells the twins that she agreed to come back after seeing how Hank was struggling. She accepts to take back the super presidency from Hank. Evelyn Kickbutt is sworn in and reinstated as the Super President of the Hero League.

The new ceremony cake disappears too. This time, it was eaten by Chloe. Like father, like daughter.

Continuity

  • President Kickbutt was first introduced as the Hero League president in Haunted Thundermans.
  • Billy and Nora mention their bedroom which they started sharing in Why You Buggin'?.
  • Hank and Chloe's lack of control when it comes to cake was also seen in Aunt Misbehavin' when they ate at Barb's birthday cake(s).
  • The Hero League guards prevent Nora and Billy from playing their "laser tag" game which involves Nora zapping Billy with her laser eyes; and was first seen in the first episode, Adventures in Supersitting.
  • The Thundermans kids have been seen to bother Kickbutt with pointless requests like when Billy and Nora asked her to send the Z-Force to look for their phones in Orange is the New Max.
  • The Z-Force training has caused Phoebe and Max to lose track of time in several other episodes as well - including Ditch Perfect, Parks & T-Rex and Side-Kicking and Screaming.
  • Phoebe needs President Kickbutt's approval in order to make Cherry her super assistant. This requirement to get Hero League's approval for assistants was also seen in Side-Kicking and Screaming when Max and Phoebe wanted to make Assista-Boy their assistant.

Trivia

  • The episode title is a reference to the 1976 American political thriller film, All the President's Men.
  • When Painful Force was hired, Phoebe and Max somehow don't think to have Chloe teleport them to Kickbutt or bring Kickbutt to them, like she did at the beginning of the episode.
  • This is the last episode of The Thundermans to be filmed.
    • However, this was not the series/season finale as the finale, The Thunder Games, was filmed before the number of episodes for this season was increased.
    • The comment, "Series Wrap!! Congrats Thunder Fam!!", was printed on the scripts for this episode. It is not the 1st time that this is being done; a comment was printed in the script for the show's 100th episode, The Thundredth too.
  • The series wrap party was held on Jul 29, 2017, the last day of filming for the show.
  • Audrey posted on her Instagram story that Cherry would wear the same belt that she had worn in the pilot episode, Adventures in Supersitting.
  • Kira shared the Thunder Twins' last lines of the series on Twitter.[3]
    • "Fun fact: ā€œcongratulations Max, congratulations Phoebeā€ were the last words we ever said as Phoebe and Max. The very last take, we decided to surprise the crew by saying ā€œcongratulations Jack, congratulations Kira,ā€ but I burst into tears halfway through ā€œcongratulationsā€ šŸ™ƒ"[4]
