Full Plot

Phoebe walks into Max's bedroom at dawn to open a message from the Z-Force together. In the hologram message, the Z-Force gives their contestants a day off to relax and have fun before announcing those who qualified for the championships the next day.

The The Thunder Twins agree not to save anyone or anything that day. In the living room, they find that their parents have made a giant pancake, which falls on Nora and Billy. The twins refuse to save them.

At school, the twins find Molly and her Green Teens club fighting with Oyster and Wolfgang's Marine Teens club over who should use the cafeteria. The twins refuse to intervene. Principal Bradford starts laughing because he had double-booked the cafeteria on purpose to get them to fight. While still laughing, Bradford slips and falls into the Marine Teen's lobster tank. He's bitten by lobsters. The twins refuse to help.

Later at Splatburger, Mrs. Wong asks Phoebe and Max to help her out with waitressing while she's trying to impress a food blogger. The twins refuse. Mrs. Wong slips and falls onto the food blogger, causing him to give Splatburger a bad review. The twins just laugh and do nothing about it.

At the end of the day, the twins go to sleep excited about finding out if they made it into Z-Force championships the next day.

On waking up, both Max and Phoebe feel a sense of deja vu. Then the Z-Force message is exactly the same as the previous day, giving them a day off, before announcing those who made it "tomorrow." Every other event is repeated including the giant pancake; Molly's Green Teens vs Marine Teens; Bradford falling and Mrs. Wong's food blogger situation. The next morning, the day is repeated. The twins are the only ones who notice that the day is repeating itself once again. This continues for a couple days.

The twins conclude that they're probably supposed to do something to break the loop. At first, they decide that since Z-Force ordered them to have fun, they need to have a lot of fun. Despite that, the day repeats itself again. Since having fun didn't break the loop, the twins conclude that they're probably supposed to save people. So, they decide to save Nora and Billy from the giant cake. They also try to bring peace between the Green Teens and the Marine Teens. Since Wolfgang only speaks in German, Phoebe spends the next two weeks learning German in order to help facilitate peace. The clubs agree to share the space. They also help waitress for Mrs. Wong and impress the food blogger. The twins go back home, happy that they must have broken the loop.

Unfortunately, the day still repeats itself. The twins decide to not even care anymore. At the end of the day, Phoebe overhears Max saying that it's becoming more and more difficult to hide his repeat clock. Phoebe comes back and confronts him about it. Max reveals that he had invented a repeat clock to keep the day repeating itself because he's scared of not making it to the Z-Force championships.

Phoebe understands and advises him that fear of failure shouldn't stop them from moving on. Max agrees and allows Phoebe to destroy the repeat clock, breaking the time loop.

It's finally the next day. The day that the Thunder Twins find out if they made it into the Z-Force championships.
