Rosa Blasi is a cast member on The Thundermans, where she portrays Barb Thunderman. She is an American actress, best known for her role as Luisa Delgado in the Lifetime medical drama series Strong Medicine (2000-2006).
Personal Life
Rosa was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 19, 1972. Her parents, Rocco and Joyce Blasi, have Italian, Irish, and Puerto Rican origins. She married New York Giants fullback Jim Finn in 2004 and later married Todd William Harris in 2014.
She also comes from a strong theatre background; ranging from the esteemed Piven Performance Company, as well as The Second City, to starring in numerous musicals and touring with Kenny Rogers.
Career
Rosa’s television debut was a recurring role on the CBS soap opera “The Bold and the Beautiful". She also starred in the MTV/UPN sitcom “Hitz.” Her guest appearances include shows like “Frasier”, “Becker,”, “Caroline in the City”, “V.I.P.”, “Grown Ups” and “Beverly Hills, 90210.”
Rosa gained widespread recognition as Luisa Delgado in the Lifetime medical drama series “Strong Medicine” (2000–2006). The show focused on feminist politics, health issues, and class conflict.
Rosa also appears in the dramatic Showtime film “Noriega: God’s Favorite” alongside Bob Hoskins and the major film “The Grudge”. Rosa also performed in “The Vagina Monologues” at the Apollo Theater and contributed to breast cancer research through the “What a Pair” benefit concert.
