Summary[]
Hank brings the Thundervan back from Metroburg for Phoebe to continue her superhero training, but when the kids sneak into the van for an unauthorized joyride, Hank gives them a ride they will never forget.
Plot[]
Hank brings home the Thunder Van from Metroburg to start training Phoebe. Phoebe wants super-hero training in order to qualify for early admissions at the Hero University. The Thunder kids are excited to ride on the Thunder Van but Hank tells them not to touch it.
Max spends the whole day hacking his dad's computer to figure out Hank's password for the Thunder Van. Later that night, he carefully sneaks into the Thunder Van only to find Phoebe already inside. They say that they figured out Hank's password for the van is "Hamburger." Phoebe tells Max she only went there to read but Max wants her to take a ride on the Thunder Van with him. He tricks her to press the button to activate self-drive. The Thunder Twins bond together in the van during the free joy ride. They even order turkey legs and drinks to eat in the van. Phoebe keeps her turkey leg down to look at the Chirper social media but when she tries to get it, she finds that all the meat has been eaten. Then there's a loud burp. Phoebe figures out that the burp comes with a bow - aka Nora Thunderman. Phoebe and Max realize that Billy and Nora were in the back seats this whole time.
Max and Phoebe starts quarreling with Nora and Billy for sneaking into the Thunder Van. Everyone gets stressed out. So, Billy sees a "distress" button and presses it in order to remove the stress because everyone was so stressed. The Thunder Van starts speeding. Max and Phoebe panic when they try to stop it without success.
Hank discovers that the Thunder Van is missing. He concludes that some villain has stolen it. He contacts tech support from Hero League to help him track the van. When tech support finally gets back to him. He presses a button which flies the van back to the Thundermans driveway. After the van arrives, he decides to mess with the criminal inside the van by pressing different buttons to make the criminal think that the van is at different places like the bottom of the ocean or near a fire.
Phoebe, Max, Billy and Nora freak out because they believe they're going to die. Phoebe confesses to her siblings that she wasn't really sneaking into the van to study. She had sneaked inside so that she can drive it. She admits that training for a superhero is not as easy as she thought. She says that it is best to take it slow and finish high school first before thinking about joining the Hero University.
Meanwhile, after torturing the criminal for a while, Hank and Barb finally press a button for a video from inside the van to see who the criminal is. It turns out it's their own kids. They listen to Phoebe's confession. The parents try to get the kids out of the van, but the van starts malfunctioning. Eventually, Phoebe and Max are able to work together to get themselves and Billy and Nora out of the van just before it flies away. Nora cries out that she forgot her bow in the van, forcing Hank to fly after the van. A second later, she realizes that the bow was with her this whole time. Phoebe and Hank agree that she should take the training slow.
