Family History

Barb and Hank met at a party back in Metroburg before Barb became Electress. After their first kiss, Barb's Electrokinesis got activated, leading to electric sparks. Literally. After realizing that they both had superpowers, they started fighting crime and saving the world together. During their wedding, Dr. Colosso turned them into goats as an act of revenge for stopping him from forcefully holding a wedding at the Oval Office. The Hero League found a way to turn them back into humans, after which Hank and Barb went after Dr. Colosso and turned him into a pet bunny.

While still fighting crime in Metroburg, Barb and Hank were blessed with twins, Phoebe and Max. They were later blessed with Billy and Nora. Raising the four kids while saving the world proved to be a difficult task for the family. So, they started considering retiring and living a normal life. In Winter Thunderland, Max gave them coal for Christmas as an act of rebellion. However, Hank used his Super Strength to turn the coal into diamonds, giving them enough money to retire and leave the superhero life. With the help of the Hero League, they bought a house in Hiddenville and decided to lead a normal life by keeping their superpowers a secret.

As part of keeping their secret, the Thundermans had a "no non-supes in the house" rule which prevented any of them from inviting their friends over. However, the rule was removed in Dinner Party when the kids proved that they could manage to go without using superpowers when there are guests around.

In A Hero Is Born, the Thundermans were blessed with a baby girl, Chloe Thunderman. On that same day, Max got kidnapped by villains after taking Dr. Colosso to a Villains League award ceremony. This led to the Thundermans secret being exposed to Cherry since Phoebe needed to have someone take care of Chloe while she saves Max. Cherry kept the Thundermans secret for a year before the whole family got exposed in Thundermans: Secret Revealed. In an attempt to stop Phoebe from becoming ThunderGirl, Dark Mayhem enlisted Max to help him take down Phoebe but Max eventually chose the right side and the Thundermans fought together to stop Dark Mayhem.

After their secret was revealed, the Thundermans generated a lot of buzz in Hiddenville and became the center of attention, in Thundermans: Banished. This led to more harm than good, putting the city in danger. Billy and Nora caused a fan war during ThunderCon while Max and Phoebe destroyed Splatburger arguing over which powers to use. This angered the Hero League, forcing President Kickbutt to banish the Thundermans to Antarctica. However, when Max and Phoebe realized that Hiddenville was in danger, they risked losing their powers just to save the city. As a result, Kickbutt allowed the Thundermans to live in Hiddenville and tricked Hiddenville people into thinking that she had taken away the Thundermans powers. Cherry overheard the conversation and, again, becomes the only non-supe who knows the truth.

Since then, the Thundermans have continued to live a double life in Hiddenville.

In All the President's Thunder-Men, the Thunderman family becomes the first family when Hank becomes the Super President of the Hero League following Kickbutt's resignation. However, being the first family turns out to be a disaster for the entire family, except Max and Phoebe. Hank and Barb are unable to handle the Hero League duties in addition to dealing with Hank's cake scandal. Nora and Billy are no longer allowed to play together because the security guards have to protect Billy from Nora's lasers. Eventually, the twins apologize to Kickbutt and ask her to become the super president again. Hank gives back the presidency to Kickbutt. So, the Thundermans lose their royal status as the first family.

By The Thunder Games, the Thunderman Family were back to fighting crime when Phoebe and Max ask their family to join the Z-Force. Kickbutt tells them their first mission and they go take down The Brain Puncher in their Super Suits.

The Thundermans Return

The Thundermans Return is set 3 years after the Thunderman Family returned to crime-fighting in The Thunder Games. The T-Force are saving Metroburg from meteors that are about to destroy the city by destroying the meteors with their superpowers. After saving Metroburg, they go to their T-Force headquarters to have their mission review session. A crime alert goes off and Phoebe reveals the crime lab, which showed a supervillain named Blue Flame robbing a bank. Bank and Hank wanted them to have their family night but as the leaders of the T-Force, Phoebe and Max get the T-Force to suit up to stop Blue Flame.

At the Metroburg Bank, Phoebe and Max get the T-Force to block available exits. The V-Team also arrive to stop Blue Flame. They both try and stop Blue Flame but accidentally gets She-Crab injured by Nora's lasers hitting Max's jetpack which causes him to knock over the giant metal donut which lands on She-Crab. Dark Mayhem Jr. hits the Blue Flame with his plasma blast which knocks him out.

President Kickbutt fires the T-Force for getting a supe injured. According to Phoebe, the T-Force has been the most successful team in Hero League history but rules are that getting a supe injured in the line of duty must be fired. President Kickbutt replaces the T-Force with the V-Team for their recent success despite being new and gets them to turn in their new super suits and to move out.

While the Thundermans were sent back to Hiddenville, the V-Team are not actually superheroes and are supervillain kids of Dark Mayhem, King Crab and Strongdor. They use their access to Metroburg Superjail to tell their fathers about their plan to use the Power Plant to morph people to create an army of supervillains.

Phoebe and Max are determined to get their superhero status back and figure out that the V-Team are villains. They wanted to expose them to President Kickbutt so that they can get their team back. They go back to the T-Force Headquarters, where the V-Team are looking for the Power Plant but they are noticed and tied up. The V-Team go to Hiddenville to get it from Hank himself after Phoebe and Max have no idea what the Power Plant is and bring Phoebe and Max to the Mayhem Cafe, which is Dark Mayhem's old lair dedicated to his hatred of the Thundermans with a pre-recorded guide for Phoebe and Max to inflict torture on them.

After the V-Team get the Power Plant from Hank, they put a dome-like structure over Hiddenville so they cannot escape to rescue Phoebe and Max. The Thunderman Family use a blue pod that dropped out of the Power Plant to give superpowers to Cherry, Oyster, Gideon, Mrs. Wong and Principal Bradford in Hiddenville Park, where the dome touches the ground so they could all use their powers to break a piece of the dome. This allowed Chloe to teleport with the Thundermans out of Hiddenville to save Phoebe and Max before Dark Mayhem's lair self-destructs.

The Thundermans figure out that the V-Team went to Mount Metroburg, the highest point in Metroburg so the V-Team could launch a large drone to rain red-powered seeds down on everyone. Chloe teleports the Thundermans to Mount Metroburg before Dark Mayhem Jr. could launch the drone. The Thundermans fight with the V-Team, along with their fathers and get the upper hand over them. After the Thundermans thought they took care of everyone, Dark Mayhem Jr. climbs back up the cliff and presses the button that lets the drone fly before he is frozen by Max. Chloe teleports Phoebe and Max on the drone and Max disables the power while Phoebe uses her telekinesis to remove the seed container from the containment hatch. Before the drone crashes, Chloe teleports Phoebe and Max back to Mount Metroburg and Max gives the seed container back to Hank and the villains are tied.

President Kickbutt goes to the Thundermans Home to offer them their jobs back. Phoebe and Max accept but wanted to make their home in Hiddenville the new T-Force Headquarters so that they make sure to put family first. President Kickbutt also gets their badges and super suits to be delivered the next morning. The Thundermans notice outside their backyard that Cherry, Oyster, Gideon, Mrs. Wong and Principal Bradford still have superpowers so Phoebe and Max freeze them to deal with removing them after their family night.
